Okay, so there really has been plenty going on since Easter, even tho you couldn't tell from looking at my blog! We had a dog show in April, where litte Nealie got 45 points towards her championship. We are having another the 24th and 25th of this month, so if we're lucky maybe she'll get at least that many more? Of course, I need to work with her a bit more on the lead.
In July we had the 4th celebration at Matt and Brandi's place, and the guys had fun grilling out in the rain. Jeff & Jaime had a tent-like structure so they could stand around the truck they backed in on one side, and could duck out the other to turn the meat as it cooked (this job was given to Richard, who is great at grilling) .. I think they had three grills going at once. Jeff went to get something to hold up a tarp (that was attached to two vehicles) so the gals and kids would have a place to sit outside, also.

We did actually get to set off fireworks that night when the rain stopped and the stars came out. The funnest part of the evening I think was the one dollar pieces that you lit the candle in, and it flew off in the distance like an air balloon - we watched two of them go for miles before disappearing in the distance.
The next day Brandi hosted our monthly domino party, although this time we had most of the kids and menfolk from the day before. Kids played inside during more rain, but as soon as it stopped, they went out to shoot off more of the daytime stuff they didn't get to do the day before.

The menfolk also did what they didn't get to do the day before, and shot clay pigeons. Yours truly did too, as did Theresa. My first try wasn't so great (one out of twelve), but my second try at it later got me three out of three, so I stopped there. Then the guys started into a competition. All had a great time!
