Memorial Day 2014

We did actually get our yearly Memorial Day cemetery visits in! We usually stop at Sunset first to visit Freddie (Jim's baby brother who passed at birth), but didn't get there yet since we went a different direction. Our first stop was the National cemetery for my dad (Robert James Oertel) who was in the Navy in WWII, then up to see his grandfather George Leonard, who was in the Civil War. We didn't go up to the Fort to see my grandpa George Leonard (nicknamed Judy) because it's so hard to get up there anymore, and even harder to find anyone in the cemetery. From there we went to Muncie, where Jim's family is laid to rest, then my baby brother Johnny Oertel, who passed at birth, and my dad's brother George Leonard, who passed when he  was two. Also there was my Grandma Mildred Wiseman-Redmon and her husband (my step-grandpa Allen Redmon), as well as his wife after grandma passed, Lillian.  Next to them is my step-mom's parents, the Langleys. We then drove over to Tongie to visit my mom and step-dad Ed (who was really never like a step-dad since he was my dad since I was three). It was from there that we went truck shopping, which you can also see posted on this date.
